Hi, I’m Kate. Nice to meet you…
The roots of GoLightly go back to 2014, after a breakup gave me the reset I didn’t know I needed. Moving back into my childhood bedroom — now overflowing with the things of my adult life — pushed me to rethink how I was living. That’s when I discovered minimalism (or living light, underconsumption core…whatever you want to call it), and the freedom that comes with having less but living more.
That experience changed everything. It taught me that home should feel like a place to rest, reset, and reconnect with what makes you happy. It taught me that when your space feels manageable, so does the rest of your life.
I’ve always been drawn to order and simplicity, but over time that instinct has grown into a practice rooted in care, respect, and practicality. Today, I help clients let go of what no longer serves them, organize what matters most, and create homes that feel peaceful, supportive, and aligned with the lives they want to live.
My approach is gentle and human-centred — never rushed, never judgmental. I want your home to feel good to be in, and I’m here to guide you through that process with clarity and kindness.
When I’m not organizing, you’ll usually find me curled up with a good book, designing a new website, or spending time in nature.
At the heart of it all is a simple philosophy, one beautifully captured by William Morris:
”Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”
GoLightly exists to help you make space for exactly that.

“I had no idea digital clutter was draining me until it was gone.”
“I didn’t realize how much my digital clutter was affecting me until Kate helped me clear it. My inbox was a constant source of stress, my files were scattered everywhere, and I avoided dealing with it because it felt too big to tackle. Kate reorganized everything in a way that finally makes sense for how I work. I can find anything in seconds, my inbox stays under control, and my files are organized in a way I can actually maintain. It hasn’t just improved my workflow; it’s improved my entire mental space. For the first time in years, I’m not overwhelmed when I open my laptop. I feel lighter, focused, and genuinely more present in my day.”
